COOKIE AND SMALL SHORTBREAD MUSEUM

Come and discover the good smell of fresh butter and smell the scent of our delicious little golden, serrated and crunchy shortbreads during a unique visit to the Biscuit and Petit Shortbread Museum.

Since 1670, the recipe for shortbread, a famous pure butter biscuit, has been passed down from generation to generation in Sablé-sur-Sarthe. A showcase of the cultural and gastronomic heritage of the Sarthe Valley, the emblematic Biscuiterie La Sablésienne is a family and artisanal business which perpetuates this ancestral know-how thanks to the quality of its raw materials worked by its master pastry chefs.

For groups of 10 to 50 people: from February 1 to October 31.
For individuals: from June 1 to September 30. Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Getaway

La Sablésienne also offers “Escapades”, without the visit to the workshop but with a presentation of the film and tasting.

For groups of 10 to 50 people: from February 1 to October 31.
For individuals: from June 1 to September 30. Monday to Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
